Chef King in Rochester

Food was not good.Fast service for pick up. Don't order general tso if your expecting a spicy kick. Not spicy at all. Drenched in a sweet sauce. It's OK but not what I wanted or ordered.Won't go there again.

No one cares about the decor, this is a take out place...The food is good. I'm a vegetarian, and this place has delicious deep fried seasame tofu, veggie lomein, and veggie spring rolls. It's cheap, and good quality.

I have been eating at this Chef King for 6 years now. The staff is incredibly courteous and professional. I used to live down the street and they provided affordable sustenance almost daily. Vegetables are crisp and the flavors are on point. I have since relocated to the east side of the city(webster) and whenever I can, I make the 29 minute drive back here to get my favorite dish Chicken w/ Chinese Vegetables w/ white sauce. The owners will remember you when you order and often know what you're going to order when you call. Wish there were 10 more places around the city like this.

The dish I ordered was to be spicy. The sauce was good, but there was no spice to make it hot.

Their delivery zone is very small. At 8 minutes away, and pretty much a straight drive down Howard Road, followed by a left turn onto Brooks Ave, the Wegman's distribution center is 2.4 miles away from this restaurant, making it the closest Chinese restaurant with more than 3 stars that claims to deliver. Yummy Yummy is 10 minutes away, at 3 miles from the Wegman's DC, and they deliver. Maybe ask how big the order is going to be before deciding how far to deliver. That would have been a fifty dollar order, plus 25% tip.I wouldn't have bothered leaving feedback, but they hung up on me the first time I called, then put the phone down to answer the other line and take that order first. Is it polite to make someone wait that long just to tell them that you don't want their business?

I have been going to chef King for several years and they are probably the best I seriously have eaten in Rochester NY, the food is on point and delicious, not to mention the generous portions, better than PF Chang's gormet garbage by far as well.. keep on cooking and thank you chef King, sincerely...

Clean. Good service. Love the large food portions, I can have their takeovers the next day. I prefer my food bland, and then I can add my own sauces that they include with your order. Love the shrimp and snow pea pods. They do not skimp on the shrimp either, my order was full of shrimp. They are hard workers, they deserve a tip jar.

I have been going here since I was a little kid, never had a complaint ever. Their prices have remain fair over the years. They also have alot of choices when it comes down to combinations. I like it and Its one my favorites in Gates.
